Raises £182,000
for St Christopher's Hospice |
Sunday 22nd May was cool but dry - ideal walking
weather as over 3,000 walkers, grandchildren to grannies, gathered on Keston
Common for the2005 Fun Walk. This bi-annual event is a major fund raising event
for the Sydenham's own St Christopher's Hospice - great grannie of the Hospice
movement founded by Cecily Saunders.
Some early birds were away just after 8am on a choice
of four routes from 3 to 18 miles long winding across the beautiful country
downs. The last left just after 3pm completing in the early evening. Fun
walking and fun on finishing with dancing outside The Greyhound and a medal to
collect... |
