for Wells Park

A new state-of-the-art water-play fun facility with fountains and mists opened in Sydenham Wells Park on Saturday 14 May 2005. The facility will be activated on warm days during the summer and includes a special system to reduce the amount of water used as well as keeping it clean.

The Council worked closely with the Sydenham Wells Park Improvement Group to get the project off the ground. And improvement is being achieved. Last summer we picked up the bronze in the Britain in Bloom national finals. Sydenham Wells Park was awarded with the prestigious Green Flag status last year and the opening of a park café.

Crystal Palace Park can sometimes overshadow Sydenham's other parks. Which is a shame for Wells Park is a little gem. Even on a cold & frosty Boxing Day walk as the pictures below show....
