Turning back we come
face to face with Megalosaurus. In 1852 it was thought that such huge beasts
could only walk on all fours but by 1858 many scientists believed they could
walk on their hind legs.
The restoration also
includes planting to represent the period as can be seen in the picture. Dr
Paul Kendrick, a palaeobotanist from the Natural History Museum, together with
landscape architects Gustafson Porter have brought us tree ferns, conifers,
horsetails and many other non-flowering plants. |
