This gallery is a two
hour walk around Crystal Palace Park on a glorious Sunday afternoon in April
2005. The temperature is in the 60s and after a cold and miserable winter a
late spring is just starting to make up lost ground.
And what a revelation.
The park has been sadly neglected for many years but over this winter huge
amounts of old and tired vegetation has been ripped out. New planting abounds -
some of it quite adventurous. It will be many years before we see the full
effect.
I hope you find these
pictures taken in sequence during our walk a useful record of one day in the
Park's 150 year life.
